Narrative
BA U Wisconsin; M.A. U Hawaii, Manoa. My research is designed to contribute to the systematization of the study of international archaeological heritage management. I explore the territory between the evolving prerogatives of international heritage management and the purported ideological agnosticism of traditional archaeology as these impact cultural properties ancient and historical, terrestrial and submerged. While taking an explicitly global, comparative approach, my research is intended to highlight effective and equitable means for safeguarding heritage sites in developing countries, a goal which necessitates consideration of both the destructive and redemptive potential of market forces.
